Leicester uses a distinctive pattern: schools open Mon 24 Aug 2026 (bank holiday Mon 31 Aug), October half term Mon 19-Fri 23 Oct 2026, Easter Mon 22 Mar-Fri 2 Apr 2027, schools close Fri 9 Jul 2027 (summer holiday from Mon 12 Jul). The calendar PDF marks council INSET days (incl. 'suggested disaggregated INSET days') by colour only, which could not be extracted; 3 further INSET days are set by schools from pupil days. PDF Term 6 count (22 days) is 3 fewer than weekdays 7 Jun-9 Jul, implying INSET days in Term 6 that are not identifiable as text.
